Located just a block and a half from The White Dove, Station Bar is the newest hot spot in town. Owners, Lily and Ben, have created a casual and eclectic environment that we can't say enough good things about. The crowds are always a fantastic mix of locals and visitors; stylistically and age-wise the patrons run the gambit; the bar is family and pet friendly until the evenings and really rocking any night of the week.
We are listing Station here because they host great solo musicians, DJs and bands at least three nights a week. An easy stroll from the hotel, theres also pool, vintage board games and a Ms. PacMan/Galactica arcade machine to entertain. The juke box has a stellar selection.

Nestled on a hill above Woodstock, The Barn at Levon Helm Studios is one of the most steeped in rock and roll royalty and incredibly intimate venues to see a show. Started by Levon himself and continued by his beloved daughter Amy, the small concerts pull industry giants. From their website : The intimacy of the shows performed at Levon’s hearth offered a hospitality and warmth found in no other venue, not to mention the excellence of the performances themselves, hosted by a man whose gifts were truly legendary. Though always an enthusiastic and passionate performer, with sheer joy and gratitude, he effortlessly captivated his audience, young and old, with a rhythmic power all his own. During a career that spanned over five decades, Levon Helm nurtured a tradition of professionalism with a deep respect for his craft and remained refreshingly genuine in a world that often compromised integrity. He was a master storyteller who wove his tales with the magic thread of universality that ties us all. He beckoned us to come in, sit awhile and enjoy. We see ourselves in his stories and we are home.
Just opened! Music and entertainment 5 nights a week. A short stroll from The White Dove!
From the owners of the newly renovated Colony Woodstock, Neil and Lex:
"We’ve been living in Woodstock since 2006 and have always heard about the old days of Woodstock with great music in multiple venues every night of the week. There are of course, many reasons why things changed over the years, but we truly believe there is still a very large group of people in the area that still want to come out and see quality live music in a great room. The audiences are there if you get the room right.
We hope our restoration and rejuvenation of the Colony can be a big part of the energy flowing back into Woodstock. Offering the community a sense that new life is coming back to town and folks are going out again. That there’s places to go and eat, drink, see great music and art. We want the Colony to be an anchor of the Woodstock music and art scene and to be the spot where all the artists and bands can come together as a vibrant whole to cross-pollinate, collaborate and create a new experience just as this exciting new Catskill Renaissance is taking hold."
BSP, located in the heart of Uptown Kingston, NY, has been home to performers, artists and musicians of all genres and media since its inception over 13 years ago. The building itself was built in the early 1900s and originally served as a vaudeville and movie house for Kingston residents and tourists who came up the Hudson River by ferry. The building has gone through a number of changes, but its historical features and ornaments remain largely intact, including the awe-inspiring proscenium arch which still bears the marking “RKT” (Reade’s Kingston Theatre) at its crest.
Maverick is as vigorous and vital today as it was one hundred and one years ago when the festival was conceived by its founder, the visionary poet and philosopher, novelist and artist community builder, Hervey White. Maverick upholds and preserves his vision of a permanent Music Chapel for what he called “the highest art,” chamber music. To build the hall, Hervey recruited a small army of dedicated artists and community volunteers, who constructed it entirely by hand in 1916.
We honor and sustain this incomparable paradigm of rustic splendor, and are very proud that the Hall is now a multi-starred attraction on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Paul Green Rock Academy is a performance based, interactive music school, based on a method honed over the past 17 years. We believe that the best way to teach most anything, and especially music, is with a hands on approach. Therefore, our entire school is dedicated to getting kids playing music in an as authentic way as possible. Our teachers are all real working rock musicians, and as such are able to relate to the students in a very direct way, offering valuable advice and guidance in the field. The shows we stage are not just recitals for family and friends but rather aspire to be real rock shows at real rock venues, with professional sound and, when appropriate, smoke machines.
Shows are chosen for their artistic and pedagogical merit and a variety is always offered to best serve the various skill levels and educational needs of our student body. When we reach capacity we will be staging 5 productions in the Spring and Fall semesters and 3-4 in the summer, with rehearsals for these shows occurring on both week days and weekends to accommodate the schedules of our students.
